Retreat Name:  Art Journaling: A Way of Prayer
Date Start: May 2, 2008
Date End: May 4, 2008
Description: This weekend will combine led journaling experiences with times for silence and community, in the beauty of the Linwood landscape.  We will engage in prayerful journaling using a process that combines simple art materials and writing within a meditative context.  Emphasis will be on the practice of contemplative gazing, with its potential to deepen our appreciation of God’s unique creation – ourselves included!  Optional gentle stretching exercises will help focus the embodiment of this holistic process.  Ways of noticing the present moment, and ways to continue the journaling process will be presented.  No art experience needed for this non-verbal/verbal approach.
Please bring a journal.  Other materials will be provided.
