Retreat Name:

Spiritual Direction For Those in Recovery

Date Start: March 12, 2008 10AM
Date End: March 12, 2008 4PM
Description:

Don's October presentation on Recovery was so well received that we decided to run it again - perhaps moving a little deeper into the topic.

More and more directees are in 12 Step Programs and also in spiritual direction.  This day workshop will illustrate the key issues of the spiritual direction relationship and the interface with the recovery process, i.e. surrender to God, process of forgiveness, spiritual practices, conversion and sin, etc.  The workshop will also help clarify the distinctions between spiritual direction and sponsorship, therapy, recovery meetings, etc.  Since spiritual directors also deal with directees who are active in their addiction, the issues which may arise for supervision will also be addressed. Lunch is included.

Presenter: Don Bisson, SMS
Suggested Fee : $50.00

Retreat Name:  De-stress for the Weekend;
An Introduction to Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction
Date Start: March 14, 2008
Date End: March 16, 2008
Description: Let go of worries about the past or future and experience the joy of being right here, right now in the beautiful Linwood environment.  Mindfulness is a powerful tool available to each of us in every moment.  By cultivating a gentle, loving and nonjudgmental awareness of each unfolding moment we can create a space for ourselves to respond to life’s ups and downs in healthier ways.  Experiment with inhabiting silence during a portion of the weekend.  Through practice with body awareness, mindfulness meditation, gentle stretching, beginner yoga and group discussions on stress and our innate ability to transform our experiences, we can learn new responses to the challenges we all face on this journey called life!
Please bring a mat, blanket or large towel.
Presenter: Lainey Rudolph, RN, BSN
Suggested Fee : $200.00 (Includes audio CDs and materials)

This day shall be a memorial feast for you, which all generations shall celebrate as a feast in Yahweh’s honor.
                                                Exodus 12

This triduum retreat is a special invitation to spend time apart in an atmosphere of prayer and silence so that we may enter more deeply into the Pascal Mystery.  Each day of the retreat will center around the liturgical celebration and will provide an opportunity for guidance in personal prayer.
